About this audiobook
Meredith Carlisle
Meredith Carlisle spends her days (and most of her nights) engrossed in adventures featuring kick ass female heroines doing battle with all sorts of monstrous creatures and their own self doubt. In real life she lives in a haunted house and doesn't go to the bathroom without turning on a light. Meredith lives with her family in beautiful southeast Tennessee, surrounded by history, mountains, and the awe-inspiring Tennessee River. Her work typically features a strong Southern voice, unique settings, and elements of the paranormal. Whether she's writing her own words or relishing in someone else's, she's most at home between the pages of a good story. Her friends call her Mere (pronounced Mare) and you can too.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I like the premise of the storyline, but this one unlike the first one was a hot mess. I feel like the author was told to get it from start to finish including editing in a week. For the biggest part of the book you're getting Alex's POV, then all the sudden it's Nicki's, then Gina's. Then you have the CONSTANT inconsistencies to the point of it being annoying. One second someone is being moved through the house by magic after being harmed and not even a full paragraph later they are still outside, type of inconsistencies. With 2 hours left I had to talk myself out of quitting it.
Like I said the premise is great, and I hope the author will slow down, maybe reread her last couple chapters between writing sessions and have better editing done.
