Great story! I loved the characters that should be loved and hated the ones that should be hated ? I loved the flow. The narrator did a fabulous job, well worth the read, or listen!

I have read 2 other books by Frantz, and she is a phenomenal writer. This book, though, starting in chapter 33, actively tried to rip my heart out. I do feel sometimes the drama of these types of books is exceedingly great and we see very little of the joyful moments. The plot twist was a bit too much for me. I almost quit the book. But the characters are well- developed and beloved. I still want to know more. I wonder if we couldn't, as a society, delight in walking with characters through equal parts joy and conflict? Why do authors only write the conflict and give a passing nod to joy?

I really enjoyed this story. It was woven with love, suspense, trials and hardships of life and happy endings. There were times I was anxious to get back to listening to see how everything would play out.
I highly recommend this audio book. The narrator had a wonderful Irish accent. She was a delight to listen too.
