Another great Elizabeth Camden novel! I always learn so much from this author and thoroughly enjoy her writing, her characters and her historical content. This one was no exception. I knew little of the Spanish American War, but several times during this book I had to delve into research about the Library of Congress building, the Spanish American War and other interesting characters and events. Thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to many more from her.

I loved this story. The characters were genuine. The dialogue between all the characters was so well written. This story has a lot of twists and turns. Just about the time I thought things were going smoothly the story would take a turn. Definitely a sign of a good writer in my opinion.
I highly recommend either reading or the audio. I did the audio. The narrator did a great job with the voices. I enjoyed listening.
