About this audiobook

A man about to expose a criminal on Television is poisoned by a glass of water. Three other people, however, drank the water without ill effects! Boston Blackie and Mary Wesley seem to be settling in to watch a TV show with Inspector Faraday. As the set warms up they see Inspector Faraday and three other men seated around a table. Mary comments that the Inspector seems a little nervous as he keeps hitting the water pitcher, and so does another member of the panel. But Blackie explains it probably very warm under all those lights. As the show begins, a man by the name of Cyrus Baxter is introduced. He, too, drinks a glass of water and then begins to speak. After a few words, he appears to be choking and proceeds to keel over right into Inspector Faraday's lap.
