About this audiobook

Detective Jackson Forge can hardly wait to marry the street-sly swindler who's turned his life upside down. Kit Turner is equally excited to wed the handsome detective, and what better way to show her love than providing him with a gift any man of the law would love? She determines to bring to justice the men who years ago maimed his brother--despite Jackson's warning to leave the past in the past. As she digs into the mystery of what happened, she unwittingly tumbles into her own history and endangers her future happiness with Jackson.

I love Michelle Griep's books, but I had a hard time liking Kit and her pride in this one. Still well-written, great plot, etc, and the narrator did a beautiful job.

Another top notch book by Michelle Griep. This continuation of the Blackfriars Lane series was great. There were several cases going on throughout the book along with the relationship between Kit and Jackson.

Once again the audiobook is amazing. Nan McNamara does a phenomenal job with the characters' voices. I have no idea if there will be another in this series or not, but if there is... Sign me up now!

I thought this was a fun story and it had so much adventure and mystery, but Jackson? Is the worst. And the fact that Kit ends up with him kills me. He’s a hypocrite so much of the time, he’s immature. He’s insecure, he’s hurtful. Like I was a hundred percent on Kits side this whole time. She’s not perfect by any stretch and a lot of the time straight up irritating, but she’s better than Jackson trust and believe. I literally could not deal with him man.

I enjoyed this second book in this series and continuation to Kit and Jackson’s story. I didn’t figure out what was going on until revealed by the author. These are two stubborn characters!

I really enjoyed this and the previous book. Good adventure. After reading the discription, I wondered how the author was going to pull it off. She did a great job! The reader was also great! Hope to see more of this series, from both the author and reader.
