“Molly Black has written a taut thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat… I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to read the next book in the series!”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

SAVE ME is the debut novel in a new series by #1 bestselling mystery and suspense author Molly Black.

FBI Special Agent Katie Winter is no stranger to frigid winters, isolation, and dangerous cases. With her sterling record of hunting down serial killers, she is a fast-rising star in the BAU, and when a woman is discovered in the middle of a frozen lake, Katie is the natural choice to partner with Canadian law enforcement to track the killer across the brutal and unforgiving landscape.

But tensions run high between Katie and her new Canadian partner, and time is running out before the killer’s trail goes cold. The case also conjures the demons of her own past: Katie’s younger sister, vanished years ago on the shore of the very same lake, a case that remains unsolved.

Can Katie keep her demons at bay long enough to enter a killer’s mind and stop him before it’s too late?

Or will this diabolical monster outwit her in his game of cat and mouse?

A complex psychological crime thriller full of twists and turns and packed with heart-pounding suspense, the KATIE WINTER mystery series will make you fall in love with a brilliant new female protagonist and keep you turning pages late into the night.

Story line was fine, a bit predictable, but an okay read, however the Narrator was a whole different thing. The story line is based in America with the MC being a female FBI agent sent to Canada to investigate a serial killer. The narrator did a good enough job, but she read the whole book with an English accent. Okay, I thought, an English FBI agent, this is going to be interesting. No. All the characters did have regional accents, but these range from a Pepe le Pew French man to a dodgy London-ish one. Even a Scottish voice at one point, actually to be fair, there was one American accent and that was a lady from Texas (it wasn’t a Texan accent though) ?
I maybe being overly critical but I actually found it funny that these men living off grid in remote cabins in the woods were chatting away like a bunch of Essex boys!
Plenty of books set in the UK, is it me?

Decided to give this a try after reading another by the author. Again with the weird narration! We’ve got Scottish ladies living in Canada and an American FBI agent with a British accent. It just throws everything off in my head with English accents for an American/Canadian setting.

As a Canadian who is very familiar with the areas mentioned in this book, I find it hard to follow along with the narrator as her accents do not represent the areas she is reading about. I stopped listening after the first chapter. I might try to read the book version, but I prefer audiobooks. I like Molly Black's work, but I find the narrating on multiple series doesn't match up with the areas that the books are written about. It is confusing.

The narrator is completely unsuited to this storyline, characters, etc. I tried… had to stop at Chapter 4. Publisher and author- do better at choosing your voice talent!

I like the book. The story is engaging. My issue is with the narrator who has, quite possibly, the most irritating voice I've ever heard. The book takes place in the US and Canada so I'm not sure why they chose a british narrator. It really detracts from the story.

Not too bad... I enjoyed it - it didnt drag out. I didn't really feel any connection with the characters though - that was kind of disappointing. But it was an easy listen.

I liked the book alot... ALTHO.. the narrator has a strong British accent throughout, even though the main character is someone raised in upstate New York and the story is told mostly in that area and Canada. It really put me off. If the next book uses the same narrator, I won't be listening to it.

Book was suspenseful but the narration at times was difficult to understand. Closure was a little off.
    Overall a good quick book.
