About this audiobook
Every leader has a blindspot--an area in which he/she fails to see or respond to threats or weaknesses. These blindspots arise for a number of reasons--cognitive overload, the over-confidence that can come with success, and the deference of others to those in positions of authority. This book provides: a framework to understand risks posed by blindspots from a leadership perspective the four types of blinspots that are most important for leaders to be aware of a self-assessment and a team survey to help leaders in identifying/recognizing their blindspots corrective actions leaders can take to mitigate the resulting risks

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This turned out to be better than I expected. Much of this material I've encountered before in other readings and leadership training, but Shaw did a good job collecting and packaging it. What gives this value is his pervasive use of illustrative cases. Ordinarily, anecdotes wear thin, but he stays on point and, more to the point, doesn't belabor the point. His examples are generally succinct and not a reach.
Good recourse for future and current leaders.
