If you want to grow closer to God this is the devotional you should listen to. It is not always easy to hear, because the author challenges us to change our ways and follow God at all cost. It covers many topics, but each one challenges us to surrender our lives to follow Jesus. If you live out the wisdom in this book your life will be transformed.

I accidentally stumbled upon this devotional and I now know why. God laid this special book in my lap to bring me closer to Him through the compelling insight of Mr. Oswald Chambers. Chambers defies the "luke warm" feel a lot of Christian authors today implement into their writing and instead, through a combination of hand picked scripture and God given wisdom, he shares with the reader what they might not want to hear but what is absolutely necessary to hear if a true intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is what is desired. I'm so thankful that God put this book in my life as it has had, and continues to have, a profoundly spiritual impact in my life. I have since shared it with as many people as I can in hopes they too can experience the indescribable gift of praising and worshipping our Creator and Heavenly Father, to bring ALL glory to Him.
