About this audiobook
Otto Shenk is the youngest son of a minor baron.
He's also a wizard.
Abused by his family and considered less than human by his kingdom, Otto does his best to survive.
But everything changes when Otto stumbles across a tower hidden deep in a dark part of the forest near his home.
A tower that was once the home of an Arcane Lord, the immortal wizards that long ago ruled the world.
Otto's life will be changed forever.
And so will the world.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Maybe I'm just impatient but by chapter three I just don't find it logical or creative.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Engaging enough, but is a bit slow. I'll say that the author kept me intrigued, and the character development drives the story. That takes time, and that's good. I hope the next book will be a little faster.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was a pretty good book. Castles and magic are usually a good match up. I hope to finish out the saga.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just the villain story I needed to end the year
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I don't usually do reviews but this series is so amazing I had to. It's like game of thrones, Harry Potter and Gullivers travels had a baby and this is the resulting masterpiece. The writing is amazing, the characters are all awesome and the plot has kept me, a person with adhd that hates everything and everything interested. For the first time in years I found myself up all night binge reading/listening. If ever there was a book series that should be made into a movie this is it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If you're looking for something different than the rest, this may be it. If you're tired of the hero always having perfect morals and never serving justice as he sees fit you'll love him.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is amazing! Probably one of the best fantasy novels I've read in the last couple years. Love the main character, love the plot, and love the world and the magic system. Definitely give this one a go!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A very interesting read, I like the way the main character slowly slips from a bit of a nice guy to nasty piece of work. That is why it looses a mark for me , it's a personal thing I prefer heroes .

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5MC is totally unbelievable and the plot hinges on so weak politics its laughable. It feels like a string of random events, almost none of which are even remotely plausible and many are completely irrelevant.
