About this audiobook

Sara Grace Martin (never call her Grace) winds up moving to the most boring small town in the world. As if that weren’t bad enough, it’s the summer right before starting high school. The only friends she has left are the books she reads to escape this suburban nightmare.

But then she meets Ethan Garcia, and every summer becomes unforgettable.

Year after year, they stick to a secret pact that pushes them out of their comfort zones and into awkward first-time experiences together. With each crazy summer, their friendship grows, but so does the number of times they mess up in the process. Among stupid misunderstandings, fistfights with strangers, quotes from novels, getting drunk in the middle of the street, or facing the fear of falling in love, there’s always one thing for certain:

Next pact, next summer.

Not a fan of the narrator and unfortunately I couldn’t get past it enough to give the book a solid chance. Her tone sounded like she was smiling through every line, and while I understand the main character is a teenager, it just got annoying and wasn’t a good tone for the more serious parts.

it was a very cute short story. due to it being a short story i feel like we missed a lot of important things such as their school years. I know it was a summer based story but what I got was they both never dated anyone and yet they still didn’t want to admit they loved each other until four years later? It just kinda confused me a little bit

Wonderful engaging story. Really enjoyed the character development. Appropriate for older teens. Wish it was longer.

The narrator was terrible. She was overly enthusiastic through the. Entire. Book. Enthusiasm every tine she cried? The narrator just ruined the book for me. The book, though, got it 2 stars.
