- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Vampire Knight Reece Champion, Knight defender of the USA, and also agent of the US government, senses the Latent Erin Grayson. Erin is on a mission to romance international businessman Reece Champion. She believes seducing the sexy Champion will put her closer to the revenge she is seeking against a murderous organisation. Only, what Erin does not comprehend, she is a pawn being used against Reece by the very people she is trying to stop. I absolutely loved this book! It's the second thing I've read by Angela Knight. I would have to say the the best part was the interactions between Reece and Erin and how they dealt with the problems that rose in their relationship because of duty to a 'bigger picture'. I would recommend reading "Seduction's Gift" (Lancelot and Grace's story) in the anthology Hot Blooded before reading "Master of the Night."
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Revenge, justice, her job, it didn’t matter what title was put to it, Erin Grayson wanted the persons responsible for the death of her partner and love to pay. After so many years as the American Magi (vampire) champion, Reece found that one special law enforcement officer, that turned out to be a latent (mage descendent), had power over him. Controlling their feelings was something else, especially if they were destined to be trapped in battle with themselves, each other and true evil. Book 1 ….. Finally I read a full length novel of the Mageverse series. The novellas were good, but the full size included much more of the origins and back stories. As first in a series books usually are, this was a lot of information. I liked some of the characters (really liked Reece). Already started my search for the next full length book - Master of the Moon.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This is a TERRIBLE book. Seriously. Merlin's a space alien, and all the men of King Arthur's court are vampires. All the women are witches. And guess what? They have the screw the witches regularly, or they'll explode from pent up power. LAME. The sex scenes aren't even enticing. Don't bother with this one. I've avoided everything else from this author like the plague.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Back in the time of Arthur Merlin created a group of warriors and companions to these warriors who would both be immortal. Erin Grayson is an American Agent and is determined to get revenge. Reece Champion is a very successful businessman and she doesn't know much about him.Reece can sense power in Erin and there's potential for more to their relationship. She may or may not survive the process of awakening her powers but she may be willing to try. It's fun, light read but readable.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5very steamy; but story seems convoluted with too many characters introduced who are not important to the storyline. main characters not very intriguing. magic is too confusing
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A fresh new take on vampires. Merlin was an alien. he felt humanity needed protectors to keep us from destroying ourselves. So, he made King Arthur and his knights into vampires, who need teh blood of Magae to survive. Guenevere and her ladies were made inot magic-weilding witches called Magae. A richly developed alternate world, with likeable characters, and hot sex. Yeah!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5While I like Knight’s vampire mythology – Vampires (male) and their corresponding Witches (female) were created by Merlin and include the Knights of the Round Table – the book suffers from too much sex and not enough plot.
