Notes

■ A strip is cut from the width of the fabric off the bolt, ie, 42in-44in.

■ Cut pieces in the order listed and keep track of leftovers to cut as directed.

■ Use a scant ¼in seam unless instructed otherwise.

■ RST = right side(s) together.

■ HST = half-square triangle.

■ SB block = Single Bloom block.

■ TB block = Triple Bloom block.

■ BB block = Basket of Buds block.

■ Fi has prepared some helpful Techniques, these can be found on our website, using the URL www.gathered.how/quilting-advice

■ *For blooms with matching petals, you’ll need eight (8) diamonds from a single fabric for each bloom.

■ ** For baskets with matching strips, you’ll need two (2) 21in strips of a single fabric for each basket, then subcut one rectangle of each size from these.

Fold back the remainder, bringing the folded edges (as it comes off the bolt) together. Cut along the perpendicular fold at the 75in length. Set aside the remaining fabric for step 4. Open out, then refold the 75in length so the selvedges are at both edges; fold twice to make four (4) layers. The folded fabric should be approx. 44in x 18¾in deep. Trim off one selvedge to give a straight edge. From this edge, cut as follows:

■ Two (2) 10½in x 75in strips for the alternate plain strips.

■ Four (4) 2½in x 75in strips for the borders.

■ One (1) 8½in x 75in strip, subcut into six (6) 8½in squares for the end setting triangles, leaving one (1) 8½in x 24in strip and possibly one (1) 4½in x 75in strip leftover (save these for steps 2 and 3).

2 From your white 8½in x 24in strip from step 1, cut one (1) 4¼in x 24in strip and subcut this into five (5) 4¼in squares for the SB and
