- I See Me
1
The day I turned nineteen, I expected to gain what little freedom I could within the restrictions of my bank account and the hallucinations that had haunted me for the last six years. I expected to drive away from a life that had been dictated by the tragedy of others and shaped by the care of strangers. I expected to be alone. Actually, I relished the idea of being alone. Instead, I found fear I thought I’d overcome. Uncertainty I thought I’d painstakingly planned away. And terror that was more real than anything I’d ever hallucinated before. I’d seen terrible, fantastical, and utterly impossible things … but not love. Not until I saw him. I See Me is the first book in the Oracle series, which is set in the same universe as the Dowser, Reconstructionist, Amplifier, Archivist, and Misfits of the Adept Universe series. While it is not necessary to read all the series, in order to avoid spoilers the ideal reading order of the Adept Universe begins with Cupcakes, Trinkets, and Other Deadly Magic (Dowser 1).
- I See You
2
Over a year and a half had passed since Jade Godfrey — aka the dowser — fixed my mother’s necklace. Since I’d thwarted the vision of the death of love. Since I’d made a deal with a devil and acquired a demigod for a mentor. I still didn’t understand or control my power, my magic, but it had been a great year. A year of rest. A year of love and light. But now the reprieve was over. Now it was time to see. Magic willed it so. I See You is the second book in the Oracle series, which is set in the same universe as the Dowser, Reconstructionist, Amplifier, Archivist, and Misfits of the Adept Universe series. While it is not necessary to read all the series, in order to avoid spoilers the ideal reading order of the Adept Universe begins with Cupcakes, Trinkets, and Other Deadly Magic (Dowser 1).
- Oracle - Fire Island (Vol. 2)
2
The adventure continues! With the first element (earth) painfully collected within the Oracle, Ret Cooper and his friends return home to find that things are only heating up. Thanks to some mischief caused by the peculiar Benjamin Coy, Ret’s second scar makes its explosive debut. But what does it mean, and where will it take them? These questions gnaw at Ret as he begins his sophomore year at Tybee High. With challenging twists, inspired turns, and a few unexpected surprises, our hero once again confronts danger and disaster, while discovering newfound feelings for a certain female companion. Old friends and foes, along with a few new ones, follow Ret as more of our world’s mysteries lead him to Fire Island and the second element (fire). Ancient artifacts, a hot-air balloon, lines in the desert, a city in the mountains, tribal societies, and even the navel of the world all play their parts in Ret’s continued quest to fill the Oracle. This second installment in the Oracle series is a must read, full of fun, adventure, and wholesome purpose. Hang on tight as author C.W. Trisef takes you to places and predicaments you have never seen before or even imagined, and makes you feel like you are a part of Ret’s destiny, to cure the world.
- Oracle - Sunken Earth (Vol. 1)
1
Fall, current day, Atlantic Ocean. Another hurricane tears through the Bahamas, headed for Florida. Among the wreckage: a U.S. Coast Guard rescue boat, one survivor (Ret Cooper), and a spherical object of curious design (the Oracle). Ret Cooper is a simple young man with mysterious origins, unique physical features, and no memory of his past. His new family and friends discover he is truly extraordinary, with supernatural powers and strange scars on the palms of his hands. But what is his destiny? The Oracle is the key to Earth's unity and full potential, too perfect to be man-made. Legend claims it can unleash limitless power when filled with Mother Nature's six, pure, original elements. But where are these elements? And which of our planet's ancient secrets will be explained in the process of locating them? The first book from new author C.W. Trisef will have you cheering for Ret as he travels a submerged road, discovers a lost city, climbs an electrifying mountain, and begins to unravel the mystery of the Oracle ... all during his first year of high school.
- Oracle - River of Ore (Vol. 3)
3
Two elements collected (earth and fire). Will the pain from Sunken Earth ever subside? Will the smoke rising from Fire Island ever disperse? Will Ret, Ana, and Paige ever complete their sophomore year? No, not yet! A third scar has appeared, pointing them to a place where Mr. Coy refuses to go. Fortunately for him, a fourth scar surfaces, one that takes them to the Amazon Rainforest, the Sahara Desert, and ultimately the City of Gold. We follow our heroes across sea and sand—along rivers wet and dry—on a journey that spans multiple continents as they seek out the hiding place of the third element (ore). Organized or vigilante, trouble finds them at every turn in lands where deadly curses abound. Somewhere, between golden arches and ancient ruins, an age-old secret is waiting to be uncovered. But Ret’s enemies are multiplying, a grim reality that will try the hearts of his friends. And even while some romances bloom and others fade, Ret and the gang must stay on guard. The Oracle is wasting no time now, clearly hastening the gathering of its elements. Things are in full motion; Ret feels this. So does Lye; he is ready—and waiting.
- I See Us
3
Here be an oracle. Despair all ye who seek her. Magic will have its cake and eat it too. Okay, well. So I was mixing metaphors. I was new to the gig. But as far as I could tell, there were three kinds of people. Those who wanted confirmation that they’d chosen the correct path. Those who wanted to deny there was any sort of destiny at all. And those who wanted to tear it all down. So why was it always the third type that showed up at the door to my 1975 Brave Winnebago, dragging me into their power struggles and using my past against me — when I didn’t even know what that past was? Could I thwart the destiny that had been envisioned for me before I was born? Could I carve out a future filled with love and light with my chosen mate? I certainly knew what I was capable of doing to survive. Beyond the past, through the present, and well into the future … I’d see us. I See Us is the third book in the Oracle series, which is set in the same universe as the Dowser, Reconstructionist, Amplifier, Archivist, and Misfits of the Adept Universe series. While it is not necessary to read all the series, in order to avoid spoilers the ideal reading order of the Adept Universe begins with Cupcakes, Trinkets, and Other Deadly Magic (Dowser 1).
- Oracle - Solar Wind (Vol. 4)
4
Change is in the air. Just days after adding the third element (ore) to the Oracle’s first two (earth and fire), Lionel betrays Ret before world leaders, blaming him for our planet’s recent catastrophes. Then Lye enacts sore revenge on the Coopers. The mounting burdens finally become too much for Ret, and he abandons his destiny to “cure the world.” But the Oracle has much more to teach our young hero, even powers unseen. Wisdom finds Ret in the Arctic wilderness, where an old foe becomes a new friend and where a phenomenon in the sky illuminates Ret’s path. Meanwhile, however, Mr. Coy sees a fearful reflection of Ret that threatens to destroy their bond, and Ana learns a difficult lesson about one of society’s tragic yet invisible influences. Things heat up and then really cool down as the quest for the fourth element (wind) extends to the bottom of the globe. Join Ret as he braves an abominable snow beast, ventures deep inside Antarctica’s most ancient glacier, and then needs help from a certain loved one as he comes face-to-face with his toughest challenge yet: himself.
- Oracle - Mutant Wood (Vol. 5)
5
After collecting the fourth element (wind) in Antarctica, Ret returns home to find the resistance is only increasing. Every nation has joined the effort to stop him, and there’s talk of a threat against Coy Manor. Thanks to an ally at Waters Deep, our heroes learn a secret that takes them to a mysterious tree in Russia where Ret discovers a land lost in time (and a new admirer). Meanwhile, a death in the community sets Ana on a mission to uncover the truth about nutrition, eventually gleaning her answer when Paige discovers a strange drawing of Stonehenge deep within the Keep. At the same time, Jaret accepts a mission to steal an item from Lye, and Mr. Coy stumbles upon a deadly weapon that could spell Ret’s doom... The stakes are high as the quest to fill the Oracle takes on a whole new dimension, including Lye's plan that eliminates his need of Ret entirely. Find out what the past can reveal about the present in the adventure to collect the fifth element (wood)—an adventure that will teach Ret about a different kind of element by revealing the mutant in us all.
- Oracle - Waters Deep (Vol. 6)
6
The time has finally arrived to collect the sixth element and completely fill the Oracle, but there are more surprises than ever at Waters Deep. Ret bestows six gifts to his loved ones before venturing off to his final battle with Lye; our protagonist armed with Mr. Coy's latest invention. But earth-shattering revelations are about to come to pass: Ret's real family; the First Father's return; a friend's ultimate betrayal; the group's watery failure; Lye's deadliest weapon. Join Ret as he sacrifices everything he is to learn the hard way—family is what's most important.
- Oracle - Cure The World - Pangaea (Vol. 7)
7
What does it mean to “Cure The World” anyway? The Oracle’s prophecy has been telling Ret for years that “one line has the rite” … but Ret is gone, isn’t he? And ever since the collection of Mother Nature’s six, pure, original elements began, the world’s continents have been on an inevitable collision course return to Waters Deep. Join Paige, Ana, Mr. Coy, and the rest of our heroes as they attempt to save the planet from utter destruction—all they have to do is use their relics, find some ancient pillars, and create physical Pangaeaic harmony before nuclear annihilation occurs. No problem, right?
