She is also the only granddaughter of perhaps the most powerful ambassador in the world, and Grace has spent every summer of her childhood running across the roofs of Embassy Row.

    Disappointing Sequel.

Overall, I was kinda disappointed in this book as a sequel. Nothing of substance or plot-wise happens for the first two and a half hours, and when the plot does start it’s weighed down by Grace’s internal monologue. I think this book could have been cut in half without affecting the plot or characters.

There are important plot and character points that setup the third book, so I wouldn’t skip this book. However, I think you can fast forward through a LOT without missing anything important.
