Today, I am blessed to have Jason Theobald here with me. Jason Theobald, J.D., AFPA, is a sought-after nutritionist/trainer in the world of physique sports. He works closely with athletes at all levels, from those wanting to shed body fat for the beach, natural physique competitors, power-lifters and IFBB pros. Jason operates www.scoobyprep.com and has countless years of experience helping bodybuilders get into peak conditioning for the stage.
In this episode, Jason discusses the importance of starting a fitness journey and offers advice for beginners. He emphasizes the value of seeking help from mentors or personal trainers and the importance of educating oneself about nutrition and exercise. We discuss the toll that extreme aesthetic pursuits can take on the body, mentioning how pushing body fat too low leads to increased cortisol levels and poor insulin sensitivity.
