Description

This week on the podcast (and it's a long one), Phillip was joined by Sam Panico from B and S about Movies. https://linktr.ee/bandsaboutmovies?utm_source=linktree_profile_share&ltsid=e5843864-6c08-4cb4-bfb7-14a7fcc6f340 They had some great talks, and they start by talking about what he does on B and S about Movies and Drive-In Asylum. Then Phillip and Sam talk about all kinds of movies. Phillip then pays respect to some actors who passed away recently. Phillip then reads an added Listener Opinion for last week's movie The Great Silence. Sam and Phillip continue to talk about movies and a little bit about Black Gunn. It's then time for Tarantino Talks, to hear Quentin talk about the first blaxploitation movie he saw as a kid, Black Gunn. Phillip then reads the general information for the movie, with some added facts by Sam thrown in. It's then time for Listener Opinions from Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Phillip and Sam then have a great discussion about Black Gunn and all the movies that are somehow connected to it. Sam throws in some facts throughout and it's a good time. Phillip then reads a review from the New York Times, and part of an article about Jim Brown from Rogerebert.com. The two then answer whether they noticed anything from Black Gunn that Quentin Tarantino might have liked or used in a film. They then individually rate the movie 1 to 5. (5 being the best.). Then they talk about whether they would buy, rent, or find this movie for free. Phillip gives his Phil's Film Favorite of the Week; The Killer (2023) (4 stars.). It's then time to promote the co-host and the movie for next week. The co-host will be Erik Clapp from Cinema Force on Youtube, and the movie is Dawn of the Dead (1978). So come back next week, and thanks for listening.
