Description

On this week's episode Phillip and his cousin Chip talk about one of Quentin's top 3 favorite movies of all time, Rio Bravo. They start the show by paying their respects to Treat Williams who passed away on Monday from a motorcycle accident. Phillip plays some audio, of Quentin Tarantino in 2007 at Cannes during a presentation of Rio Bravo, in a segment the guys call 'Tarantino Talks'. Then it's time to give out the general information and some facts about the movie. Phillip talks about the great directing and the many great movies Howard Hawks has made throughout his career. It's then time for Listener Opinions from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Then they discuss this great western movie that they love. Phillip then reads some reviews from the day, and Rotten Tomatoes critical consensus. Phillip asks the question of whether they notice anything that Quentin might have liked or used in his films. The guys then individually review the film on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best. Then they answer the question of whether they would buy, rent, or watch this movie for free. It's then time for Phil's Film Favorite of the Week; Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). Chip will not be on the podcast next week, but a friend of the cousins and friend of the show, Tim Martin will be filling in. The randomizer then picks the next movie for June 23rd; Hands on a Hardbody (1997) (Documentary). Thanks for listening.
