Description

There are tens and thousands of research and peer-reviewed studies proving just how effective and useful neurofeedback is. And it's been around a very long time, since the 1960s. However, neurofeedback as a standalone isn’t enough to create the lasting change that we want and expect. We have to follow what research tells us to prevent all our efforts and resources from going to waste. And that’s what I’m here to shed light on. We’ll make sure that this game changer that has helped many of the families that I've worked with will also work for you, your kid, and your family. What is Brain Behavior Reset Program™?The main purpose of our Brain Behavior Reset (BBR) Program™ is to calm the brain. As much as we can, we encourage kids and their parents to learn how to regulate their nervous system. This program improves a kid’s mood and behavior. We pair this with new and correct learning, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you're throwing out everything that you're doing as a parent. Rather, it's about tweaking it so that your child can hear you. We have to meet them where they’re at.We are looking for changes in the intensity, frequency, and duration of behaviors. You're not going to do 10 to maybe even 30 sessions in Neurofeedback and have an entirely new kid. Instead, we have to know what needs to be done - calm the brain down. And that's what neurofeedback does so safely and effectively. It’s actually an easy and lovely therapy that is enjoyable for kids, and even adults love it. Why Neurofeedback Alone Isn’t Enough to Create Lasting ChangeAfter having neurofeedback sessions, there’s an indescribable good feeling that the brain feels. The brain feels calm and functional. To achieve that, some people undergo neurofeedback therapy and couple it with other stress management activities, which work out perfectly. It’s all about lifestyles. That's why neurofeedback alone isn't enough. You have to pair it with new learning. When we get to regulate the brain, it's going to push down unfocused brainwaves and increase focused brainwaves. We need to have a healthy balance. When we have a calm brain and a healthy lifestyle, the neurotransmitters and the brainwaves are going to balance. What are the two sets of skills we need to teach kids and parents? We shouldn’t rely on neurofeedback alone. We also have to teach them executive functioning skills - foundational and higher-level skills.Foundational consists of controlling impulses, alerting you, and starting a task. If you can't start a task, you're not going to finish it. On the other hand, higher-level skills involve many cognitive processes. If you are having difficulty controlling impulses, how can you teach writing and expect it to stick? So it's all about creating a foundational platform for it to stick. Incorporate exercise into your lifestyle to create lasting change. It’s not always possible for us to feed our kids with fruits and vegetables. They need fat and protein. You have to start thinking differently. We also need to incorporate exercise in their lifestyle change to ensure that the neurofeedback treatment your kids are getting will work. In fact, 30 minutes of moderate exercise three times a week improves the symptoms of ADHD by 40%. Physical activity boosts brain health. It can improve your kid’s learning abilities, focus, and mood, and helps them enjoy emotional balance. You are the number one influence on your child’s mental health.Parents have so much unbelievable power. Don't give it away to a medication pill or a teacher. You are your number one influence on your child's life.Change is always possible. And certainly, when our kids are under our care and support, change is possible. We have more...
