Description
Phil gets straight into the oven with some big sessions in Kenya, as he only has around 5 weeks to Seville. Marc talks about the many adjustments in Kenya; not just the running, but dietary changes, weather, and altitude. Phil gives us some insight into how the training setup works in Kenya, and the luxury of the ‘matatu’ - the fuelling vans you often see driving alongside groups of runners. They’re a double edged sword - you can hop in at any point if you’re feeling tired, but if you get dropped, it’s not waiting for you. Marc also gives some insight into joining his NN teammates in camp under Patrick Sang and how he made the decision not to do the marathon block there.
