Does any of this make sense when it comes to people in our lives that are... well, pests? Interestingly enough, this example can apply to people or A.N.T.'s (Automatic Negative Thoughts [Dr. Amen]) We are not responsible for our thoughts, ideas, or suggestions. It is what we do with them that matters and creates consequences that we are responsible for.
Whether it is the people in our lives that are taking, taking, taking in a very organized and deliberate way. Or whether it is our thought life that also is taking, taking, taking our joy, and sense of purpose. These things must stop! But we have to learn to see them before we can address the issue and get to the core of the problem. Control the food, control the pests. Let's talk a little bit more about these things...
