The Colorado Avalanche superstar continued his hot play Tuesday night against the New York Islanders, and they needed every bit of it as the Avs found themselves down at different times of the game due to early struggles from goalie Alexandar Georgiev.

Georgiev would settle down and the Avalanche would play their game, eventually sending the game into OT where MacKinnon fired and absolute missile past Islanders goalie Sorokin for the win.
