Description
Listeners, we're back this week with Krista Linares.
Krista is a registered dietitian with Mexican and Cuban heritage. The mission of her company Nutrition con Sabor is to promote health equity for Latinos by elevating Latin cuisine and culture, and to empower Latinas to take charge of their own health through their culture, instead of compromising between health and heritage. Krista holds a master of public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and currently works in a private practice setting.
We had so much fun chatting about food and reclaiming our beautiful delicious dishes from our native countries. Krista shared with us how we can still eat the foods we love and grew up with as long as we balance and compliment them with other nutritious foods.
