Description
By the way the Golden Knights played in the first period in Anaheim Wednesday night, you would never know they had a three-day holiday break before the contest. VGK allowed four goals on nine Anaheim shots in the first period and trailed 4-0 at the first intermission. They cut into the lead in the second period with goals by Alec Martinez and Mark Stone to make it a 4-2 game. But the Ducks fifth goal of the night, Brett Leason's second of the night, put away the game for good late in the second period. Anaheim has now beaten VGK twice this season. Bruce Cassidy minced no words about his team and said the goaltending needs to be better. He said the goalies need to make stops and the defense has to play better in front of them. Adin Hill remains out for VGK. Hill leads the league in goals against average this season. The Golden Knights play L.A. Thursday night in the tail end of the back-to-back. The Kings started off the season 11-0 on the road and now have a 13-1-1 record away from home. We have our Locks of the Knight and predictions for tonight's game.
