The Colorado Avalanche are usually a very vanilla team when it comes to sound bytes. Maybe Nathan MacKinnon is the only one who really wears his heart and voice on his sleeve. You wouldn't expect Devon Toews to be a guy to call out teammates and show his frustration.

Toews didn't do a Jerry Macguire freakout or anything like that. He was very cool and collected, but the words he used were like darts. Calling out players who "think they are playing well" and for not having the same goal. He used the word "self-awareness" multiple times.

Toews is fed up. He wants the problems corrected now. And who are we to disagree.
