You're in a different country now.  This ain't Kansas anymore!  When you visit, be sure to IMMERSE yourself in the day-to-day life.  You have an opportunity to step out of what you're used to and become ONE with the PURA VIDA lifestyle.
Visit the little sodas, the coffee shops & other little stores.  Try to converse with the ticos!  You'll have a lot more fun.  Stay away from the chain outfits, the McDonalds, the Pizza Huts, the KFC's!  You'll get enough of that when you return home!
