Ep. #17 - Janelle Colbert-Ryan is the founder and CEO of the Colbert Law Center, which specializes in general civil litigation, estate and probate, personal injury, labor and employment matters, as well as family law and domestic violence cases throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia. I decided to do this interview with Mrs. Colbert because so many in the Black community are losing their lives due to COVID-19.  There are also many of us who are unprepared for this because we’ve never done a will. In this podcast, you will learn what Estate Planning is and why it’s important that you and your family do this.  Mrs. Colbert was also featured in Black Enterprise Magazine because of her outstanding expertise. Sadly, it seems Black life doesn’t have any value in this society, but it’s time for that to change. When we start getting life insurance policies and estate planning in place we can ensure our assets are handled in a way that benefits future generations. Let’s start leaving legacies instead of confusion and debt.
