Description

Ep. #22 - Andre Jackson is our third guest in our COVID-19 Survivor Series. SEVEN members of his family (including him) all contracted COVID-19 and everyone survived! Andre was born and raised in Washington, DC.  I was excited to learn that like me, he attended Cardozo High School. (Shout out to Cardozo Alumni!) He’s been married for 21 years, he’s a teacher, he sings with a local band, “Sudden M-Pac” and he’s sang with the former lead singer of the Temptations, Glenn Leonard & his Temptations Revue! Andre has also toured all over the world with the Temptations Revue in places like Germany, France, and Australia, and of course all over the United States! His career is both intriguing and exciting. In this episode we talk a little about what it’s like to be a teacher during these times, and how it feels when teaching and learning is no longer in a classroom. But the real story is how a night out with the family ended up being the same night when everyone was infected with the coronavirus. Andre tells us about his initial symptoms, testing, and what led him to go to the hospital. As members of his family got sick, the thing that scared him the most was when he learned his mother caught it. Listen as he shares what he and his family experienced and how they all beat COVID-19.
