In today’s chaotic world, stress is an unfortunate fact of life, for us and our kids. For complex kids, it can be paralyzing. Luckily, Guest Expert Mary Anne Richey has a few effective strategies for helping complex kids manage stress.
Mary Anne Richey is a Licensed School Psychologist who has been employed by the School District of Palm Beach County for thirty years as a middle school teacher, assistant principal, high school guidance counselor and currently as a school psychologist. She also maintains a private practice offering psycho-educational evaluation and consultation. She has presented many workshops on education related topics to local, state, and national conferences. She was selected Florida School Psychologist of the Year for 2012 and is currently a candidate for National School Psychologist of the Year for 2013. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Virginia Tech and a master's degree from Florida Atlantic University. She co-authored a book, Raising Boys with ADHD – Secrets for Parenting Healthy, Happy Sons, published by Prufrock Press in 2012. Mary Anne's proudest accomplishments are her two children, both Ivy League graduates and happy, successful adults.
