Description

If you are feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and exhausted because your current parenting strategies are not improving your relationship with your complex child, then you are not alone!

This episode brings you another Success Story from the ImpactParents Community! Ellen joins us on today's podcast to share her story of navigating the challenges of raising a complex child. Having weathered the storms of parenting and feeling unprepared for the challenges that come with a complex kid, she eventually found her guide in the community-driven support system of ImpactParents.

Ellen and her husband are parents of a creative and curious 16-year-old son who was assessed and diagnosed with ADHD when he was in Middle School. Ellen began to realize that as academic demands increased, so did her son's reaction to them. She became really curious about what was behind his behavior.

Through her involvement in several Impact Parents programs with Elaine and Diane, Ellen now clearly understands the value of engaging in parent coaching. She arrived feeling exhausted, confused, and frustrated. She has grown over the past few years after a lot of hard work and truly appreciates all that Impact Parents provide: compassion, support and community, and the continued sharing of knowledge and scientific findings.

Listen to this inspiring Success Stories Edition of Parenting With Impact episode with Ellen about turning to community for support in parenting a complex child.
