Writing a book isn’t so different from moving to a new house or apartment. When we’re moving it’s a mess, the boxes are everywhere, and we can’t see the contents. But once we’re settled in, all our belongings and furniture are laid out perfectly and aesthetically. It’s important to remember we are writing for our guests, and that we should unbox and sort out everything before inviting the guests in. Our writing, after all, is the house of our ideas.
