Description

This evening (11/23/22), in our Wednesday night Tehilim/Tefilah shiur which fell out on Erev Thanksgiving, it would be apropos to take up "inyanei d'yoma" as it were. Since this perek is only five pesukim long, I was fairly confident we might be able to get at least one main idea tonight, and - despite what seemed like a scattered initial analysis - I believe we succeeded! We ended by reading the thanksgiving words of another national leader, George Washington, which were surprisingly in line with the ideas in the perek. Have a happy Thanksgiving, everyone!-----מקורות:תהלים פרק קרש"י - תהלים ק:ארש"י - ויקרא ז:יבספורנו - ויקרא ז:יברד"ק - תהלים ק:גתרגום כתובים - תהלים ק:ארמב"ם - משנה תורה: ספר המדע, הלכות דעות ג:גGeorge Washington, "Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789" https://www.mountvernon.org/education/primary-source-collections/primary-source-collections/article/thanksgiving-proclamation-of-1789/-----This week's Torah content has been sponsored anonymously, by a listener who always manages to find me supplemental sources which enhance my shiurim.-----If you have questions, comments, or feedback, I would love to hear from you! My name is Rabbi Matt Schneeweiss, and this is the hub for all of my shiurim (classes) on Tefilah (Prayer) and related topics, such as Tehilim (Psalms) and Berachos (Blessings)! The shiurim I upload here are given in a variety of formats with different lengths and intended for different audiences. The common theme which unites all of these shiurim is our focus on strengthening our relationship with Hashem through Avodah she'ba'Lev (Service of the Heart). If you have any questions feel free to email me at rabbischneeweiss at gmail. Thanks for listening!
