As we prepared for this episode, another free agent signed a contract - Vladimir Tarasenko signed a one-year, $5-million to play in Ottawa. So the Sens lost Alex DeBrincat and they picked up Tarasenko who can add to the roster for at least one season. We went through the list of Unrestricted Free Agents, and there aren't many "shiny new toys" left for VGK to pickup. Chris still believes Jaroslav Halak, most recently of the NY Rangers, could give the Golden Knights experience. Tony said he feels Matt Dumba, who has played his entire career in Minnesota, could be a fit for VGK if they somehow move on from Alec Martinez. We still don't believe VGK is done with its roster moves. We also talk about the number of arbitration cases that have been heard vs the number settled before reaching the arbiter. There have been 13 cases settled in advance to only 2 arbirtation hearings. Brett Howden of VGK is one of the players that settled before reaching the arbiter.
