Description

Happy Monday, Goons!  For our 3rd pick here on our Slashers Podcast Brutal Summer, Jason and Ade are joined by Lance to discuss 2010’s South Korean bloody action thriller, I Saw the Devil, starring Old Boy, himself, Choi Min-Sik, and GI Joe’s Lee Byung-hun.  The film was directed by Kim Jee Woo, who you may know from the creepy A Tale of Two Sisters (way better than its remake, The Uninvited) and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s The Last Stand. The film follows a secret agent who exacts revenge on his wife’s killer.  As Jason said, “It’s not as bad as Inside. Or Oldboy.  Think of it as a brutal Taken.”  If you haven’t seen this one yet, we highly recommend you watch before listening, as spoilers are peppered in throughout the entire episode.  It is also featured on Shudder’s AMC 101 Scariest Movie Moments, so it definitely hits hard.
