Roberta Ndlela hails from the Zulu tribe in South Africa, where the foundation of 'Ubuntu'—meaning humanity—shapes her worldview. Growing up in an environment that prioritizes human connection and community has instilled in her a deep appreciation for these values, which she carries into their professional life.
 
With a corporate career spanning over 15 years as a Transportation Economist/Manager in South Africa, Roberta recognized that technical skills alone can only take one so far. She understood that to maximize career success, one needs to possess essential soft skills. Working on project teams that comprised various experts such as civil engineers, CAD technicians, transportation economists, and planners, Roberta navigated client relationships, led internal project teams, and coordinated with joint venture companies and subcontractors. She also gained experience in corporate advisory teams, facilitating headline-making M&A transactions.
