Kimberly Corban and Kara Robinson Chamberlain are victim advocates and survivors that both turned their traumas into careers in the criminal justice and media spaces. Although their experiences are different in nature, what came next in their journeys have heavily affected their shared mission in the true crime space. They both hope to inspire awareness and healing in the survivor community through their many media efforts, which range from public speaking gigs to a scripted film. They also recently celebrated the launch of their own podcast, Survivors' Guide to True Crime; we are so grateful they were willing to discuss the layeredness of their experiences.
