Description
EPISODE #51 - Welcome to a special “Best of” episode of the Yes Collective Podcast! We’re bringing back our conversation with the amazing Dr. Kate Simon to close out our month on embodied mental and emotional health. This month the focus has been on all the things we can do through our body to support our mental and emotional health. And there is nothing–and we mean nothing–more fundamental to our embodied mental and emotional health than sleep. In this episode, Dr. Simon breaks it all down for us, tells us what sleep is, why it’s so crucial to all aspects of our health, and how you can start getting a better night's sleep right away. And Dr. Simon is really the best. She’s a sleep scientist and a mom who studies how sleep affects kids of all ages. She’s a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California, Irvine (where I got my public health PhD - go anteaters!) and has worked at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where our son Max was treated for his brain tumor for 10 years. So, get a cozy blanket and some chamomile tea, and settle in for a conversation that will change the way you think about sleep . . .
