Description

Welcome to episode 178 of the Löw Tide Böyz - A Swimrun Podcast! We have another edition of Gear Talk with Annie and Brooke of the Swimrun Labs this week. In this episode we discuss the newest Swimrun shoe to hit the market, the Vivobarefoot Hydra ESC. This minimal shoe packs a lot of features in a small package. (Spoiler alert: we all thought it was amazing!) This shoe is an upgrade from the Tempest ECS that Vivobarefoot released a few years ago and we share our thoughts on this beautiful piece of kit.It was unanimous that we all thought this shoe was amazing. While it requires a user to be comfortable with barefoot/minimal running, the fit, grip, and ground feel was second to none. The gang gave the shoe between 4.5 and 5 pull buoys.Enjoy! That’s it for this week’s show.
