I had the privilege to interview 83 yr old Holocaust survivor Karmela Waldman. Born in 1939 in Yugoslavia, just a few short years later she found herself escaping with her mother from Nazi home invaders. Her mother realized they had to separate and Karmela found herself being hidden at a Catholic Convent/School. She held on to her Jewish heritage while learning all things Catholic. After Russian allies liberated Belgrade she eventually reunited with her mother.
