Description
Sovereignty- that state of complete ownership of ourselves and our natural right to integrity is becoming an elusive phenomenon. This episode explores how to let go of people pleasing and feel comfortable with disagreement.
Recognize when someone you are dealing with is a bad actor. Look for attempts to use grains of truth to sow self doubt, or making you wrong if you don't agree with them
Take the time for introspection. Act in truth and integrity and you can always feel comfortable standing by your decisions.
Jesus never extended an olive branch to the Pharisees. You can't placate abusive people because their actions are about them not about you. Recognize the hypocrisy in their actions for what it is.
Disengage from situations that would compromise your sovereignty. By engaging- even to defend yourself- you add energy that fuels the abuse.
Seek the counsel of others. The best way to dispel dark behavior is to shine light on it. When you check in with others, you get reassurance that you are not the problem and feel more empowered to walk away.
If you are feeling stressed out and overwhelmed, you need my new book Time Builder. There is a whole section on maintaining boundaries that will be so helpful if you struggle with people pleasing. Get the book by clicking here https://architecting.samcart.com/dashboard/products/480961/edit
