Description
Special teams are not on the Bengals' priority list of draft concerns.
But are there some possible names that they could look at to compete with Drue Chrisman at punter?
Next week's NFL Combine features several big-name punters the Bengals should keep their eyes on. One of them is Bryce Baringer out of Michigan State who had a strong showing at the Reese's Senior Bowl a few weeks ago. Although he could be drafted late in the draft in April, he could still be someone the Bengals could watch.
Down the middle of the pack of prospects, underrated players like local product and Cincinnati Bearcats linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. make the case for being a solid mid-round pick that could fit multiple needs for the Bengals. Running backs like Zach Charbonnet or defensive tackles like Jaquelin Roy might provide some immediate and future depth and could have a solid NFL Combine.
The Strictly Stripes podcast crew breaks down all the areas of the Bengals' special teams unit from 2022. From the transition of Kevin Huber and Clark Harris to Drue Chrisman and Cal Adomitis, the Bengals are literally entering a new era at special teams. Kicker Evan McPherson continues making a name for himself early in his eventful NFL career.
This podcast features Mohammad Ahmad, Andrew Gillis and Michael Niziolek.
