Miami Hurricanes running back Jaylan Knighton has entered the transfer portal. He makes his exit after finishing his sophomore season at The U with 423 rushing yards and a touchdown. “The Rooster” battled through adversity this season, lost three fumbles, but finished the year strong. For most of the season he was behind Ole Miss transfer Henry Parrish on the depth chart. 
Host Alex Donno reacts to Knighton’s exit and pays his respects to Rooster’s perseverance and patience throughout the year. We don’t have any clues yet as to where he might end up. Donno reads a tweet from running back recruit Mark Fletcher who seemingly reacted to Knighton’s exit. Will Fletcher see this as a reason to pick Miami over Florida, with more opportunity needed at The U? Expect TreVonte Citizen and Henry Parrish to be the mainstays in Miami’s backfield next season with Don Chaney trying to work his way back after another injury-plagued season. 
Miami will also try and flip Louisville commit Rueben Owens, a 5-star back. Miami is still recruiting 4-star Chris Johnson out of Dillard, but he does not seem as interested in The U as he once was. Will former Texas A&M RB LJ Johnson be an option in the transfer portal? Miami will likely need a new veteran in addition to a 2023 freshman.
