Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal is very open about the fact that the Canes will lose several players through the transfer portal. On Monday afternoon he said, “Some guys are invited back … For some guys it’s not the right fit.” Linebacker Gilbert Frierson, defensive lineman Elijah Roberts and running back Thad Franklin have already confirmed they will be leaving through the transfer portal. Linebacker Avery Huff and wide receiver Key’Shawn Smith have been rumored to be doing the same.
