Description

Special Review - this is a conclusion of the few recent episodes that we had published and emerging theme which could be dealt further in the future. The architectural profession serves the elite group or rich people and not others, the vulnerable and marginalized group. Everyone wants to be in the rich group of course but we are not being inclusive. However what is sad is that architecture schools serve the elites as well and maintaining the status quo is the priority. This is reflected in architectural design studio programs with emphasis on tourism projects and the approach / method of teaching, which relies on similar “bullish” approaches in the industry. I admit that this is an assumption but it is worth to explore this to find out the reality. ©️Talk Architecture 2022, Author: Naziaty Mohd Yaacob.
