Description

What is missing in the first degree of architecture course (Part 1) where graduates are confused? Example: I miss design but I cannot get work with an architecture company. It has been 2 years now, and I am working in an engineering company... A recent development where one of the oldest architecture schools in my country decided to do something about the lack of creativity in their programs, reinstating a retired academic who is from the arts and humanities to make sure that what it says on the tin will be what it will do to future students: architecture design is about being creative and we will provide that education for you, primarily. Will the return of manual drawings and more of the arts and humanities / liberal arts programs be adopted so that students gain more confidence in themselves as creative persons? ©️Talk Architecture 2023, Author: Naziaty Mohd Yaacob.  Photo credit ©️ Drawing of the Universal Design Bus Stop by Kamelia Jambari, 2018.Support the showDo subscribe for premium content and special features which will help to support and sustain Talk Architecture podcast on a more in-depth explanation on design thesis and processes.
