Description

The concluding part of a trilogy of episodes focuses on summaries and ideas of what has been said, and a proposal of the direction Malaysian schools of architecture need to take when considering what 'architecture' is in the bigger scheme of things. It is evident that architecture is the 'mother' of all creative endeavors and not to be adopted by engineering and science, and be where it always has been in society, at the heart of Arts and Humanities. Hence this led to justification for broad-based education and not specialization, especially in the first degree of architecture course in a 'university' (The word university is derived from the Latin universitas magistrorum et scholarium, which roughly means "community of teachers and scholars"). Flexibility is the key to the individual student to expand themselves further either in the master's course or a related masters course or after Part 2.©️Talk Architecture 2023, Author: Naziaty Mohd Yaacob.  Photo credit ©️ Crit on the UM Campus design via 'zoom' online (screenshot) October 2020Support the showDo subscribe for premium content and special features which will help to support and sustain Talk Architecture podcast on a more in-depth explanation on design thesis and processes.
