Description

In light of the coming general election, we know that a degree in philosophy is not available  in Malaysian universities. How do university students learn about democracy and politics? Referring to the teaching of politics in universities, I would like to bring attention to utilizing practitioners including people from all background to teach and give their opinions in the architectural students learning process. This is about masterplanning and building projects in schools of architecture that allow the architectural student to role play as a developer and urban planner, for example. Using the campus design project that we were involved with a group of students in 2020, and how we ask questions about politics and philosophy, it interfered with the status quo’s interest hence this podcast talks about what could have been.©️Talk Architecture 2022, Author: Naziaty Mohd Yaacob.
