Caitlin Chinn is a seasoned Hotshot who's combated forest fires for over 8 years. On this episode, Caitlin shares stories of close calls; the science behind forest fires; how to survive them; and the horrors of being in a fire shelter. Caitlin and Vince also discuss the tragedy depicted in the movie Only the Brave where 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshot crew perished in an Arizona fire. Caitlin is now undergoing training to become a Smoke Jumper, a group recognized as the most elite firefighters.
