Description

Welcome to this episode of the Motherkind podcast and happy new year.
It is January and I’m sure you are being bombarded with messages, adverts, diet books, and celebrity workout plans. I really think this episode is the antithesis to all of that.
I find eating nutritious food quite a stressful area of my life. I have a fussy daughter who eats about the same 5 foods on repeat. I also think about my own diet. Am I giving myself the best chance of having the energy levels that I want and need. Am I eating healthily enough. It is an area of my life I do worry about.
This episode was a gift. Rhiannon Lambert is one of the UK’s leading nutritionists, a best-selling author of Re-Nourish: A Simple Way To Eat Well and chart-topping podcast host of Food For Thought. Safe to say Rhiannon is an expert and one of the UK’s leading nutritionists. She also became a mum during the pandemic.
In this episode you’ll learn about:

What it was like having a baby during the pandemic

The importance of looking after ourselves

Important messages about feeding our children and ourselves

New ideas around nutrition

Simple tools and ideas for making healthy food prep more stress-free

It felt like a massive dose of reassurance and compassion and kindness. This is a huge area for us mums and our children.
I do not need another diet book. I need someone like Rhiannon with simple ideas and tools to help us all make eating easier. Here is the episode. I hope you love it and I hope it is a balm of reassurance.
As always, we continue the conversation over on Instagram, so come and join us there.
