Description
The ultimate goal for every leader should be to help their subordinates reach their goals and accomplish their dreams. A magnificent tool for this is to show them we care about them and their success. How do we achieve that is quite simple, by improving our ability to prove our love. In today's episode, I want to talk about the teachings I've got from a book that helped me a lot in the past, The 5 Love Languages, by Gary Chapman. The book explains that there are five different ways to accept and demonstrate love better. Each person is unique and has a singular reaction to every love language. Some people feel love and care when they receive encouraging words about their work; others might prefer to receive a gesture, a gift, or simply be heard for a couple of minutes. The challenge for us, leaders, is to identify which one of the five languages of love the people working with us speak and show them our support in that same language. In This Episode, You Will Learn:Why it is essential to improve the way we show love (2:04)Every person speaks a different love language (3:50)The weight that words of affirmation can have (4:36)Actions speak louder than words most of the time (6:06)A tiny gesture that says a lot (7:23)The effect of spending some time with an employee (8:29)The importance of feeling connection (11:18)People tend to speak the love language they prefer (14:50)Resources:Book: Gary Chapman - The 5 Love LanguagesLet's Connect!WebsiteLinkedInInstagram Facebook Hosted on Acast.
