What an odd week, Mets fans.
The Mets started by taking three straight from the Cubs, but ended the week losing four of five, including three of four to the Nationals. No more Kyle Schwarber, ever again please.
This week is key for the Mets: eight games against the Braves and Phillies at home including doubleheaders against each. The Mets have a chance to create some distance. Jacob deGrom is good to go. Jeff McNeil is back. Michael Conforto and Brandon Nimmo are right behind him.
Oh, and no, Kevin Pillar and Billy McKinney should not keep their starting spots when those guys come back. Poo-poo take. We talked about some Mets' fans weird obsession with proven major leaguers needing to earn back their spot just because their replacements haven't sucked.
